Job Description :   
As a Systems Engineer in NetApp's Sales function, you are responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales support for selling NetApp's Products and Professional Services to existing and potential customers. You will utilize your excellent technical and relationship building skills in working with vendors, partners and sales to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to customers.
In this position your overall focus areas will be in supporting and developing processes and systems for quick and thorough responses to customer RFP's, provide systems configuration recommendations, and apply your background and experience to deliver solutions to technical problems. 

Essential Functions : 

The essential responsibilities of the Systems Engineers are to work directly with the NetApp Sales team to support customers in pre-sales and post sales situations, and to work effectively across functions with other NetApp employees in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Development areas. Specific responsibilities include:

- Assist in identifying customer needs and requirements.
- Define elements of a customer's technical computing environment as assigned by sales reps or more senior level SE's.
- Answer customer questions.
- Provide technical support to current customer and 'try-and-buy' test projects.
- Help define customer acceptance criteria for 'try-and-buy' evaluation projects.
- Pick up and deliver NetApp evaluation test system to customer site.
- Work with Sales to respond to RFP's.
- Attend customer calls with the Sales Representative.
- Provide technical consultation and disseminate product information to the sales team.

Eligibility :
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar, or equivalent
* Work experience in the IT industry, preferably for a US company 
* Deep technical IT awareness
* Must be outgoing and naturally pro-active in developing relationships and making value-add 

Desired Candidate Profile :    
Provide day-to-day technical support for Dell Technical and Sales staff. Also provide support and assistance to their resellers when necessary.
Occasional co-ordination, preparation and delivery of technical presentations and product demonstrations (may be off-site) 
Participate in sales cycle activities including: evaluation planning, coordination and support of customer/prospect evaluation process, preparation of needs analysis and proposal. 
Provide technical support for sales including product specifications and technical follow-up on products and applications. 
Spend at least 15-20% of time at other call centers within the given territory providing similar levels of support. 
Be able to visit an NetApp Office at least once per quarter, and also attend specific NetApp training, meetings or events as needed. 
Participate in trade shows, seminars, and exhibitions directly, with Dell and with their Resellers. 
Ensure product and solution knowledge pertinent to NetApp sourced products and associated solutions is kept up to date. Attend appropriate Web casts, Training classes and actively work with the Dell AP BDM to maintain knowledge levels. 
Liaises with AP Technical coordinator to feedback useful technical information for the field. 
Work with the Dell Professional Services groups developing and updating Service offerings.
