The National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur was established in 1958 as Central Public Health Engineering Research Institute (CPHERI), when environmental concerns were limitedto human health with a focus on water supply/sewage disposal/ communicable diseases and to some extent on industrial pollution and occupational diseases. The chemical and biological solutions to address these problems were simple, though challenging. However, slowly world wide public awareness on the contamination of environment on regional to global scale started getting attention in 1970’s. Project Title : Control of indoor air pollution in rural areas
Qualification :M.Sc.(Chemistry)/ B.Tech. (Chemical Engg) with 55% Marks (ln case of SG/ST candidates, this criteria shall be relaxed by 5 %). Preference will be given to candidates with 2 years or more research experience. The project work involves travel to rural areas for field work.
Pay Scale : For Project Assistant Level ll:Rs.12,000/- pmFor Project Assistant Level llI Rs 14000
